Trip starts right away crossing Progreso town with direction the the beautiful colonial Merida city. Approximate driving time is 30 minutes. General explanations of the Mayan and Yucatan culture are provided on the way.
Walking tour at the Merida city historical center with visits to the cathedral, governor's palace, municipal palace, famous Montejo house (Casa de Montejo).
Visit to the main municipal market for arts & crafts shopping.
Visit to the Anthropology & History museum located in famous Montejo boulevard (closed on Mondays).
After Merida city visit we follow to the archaeological site of Dzibilchaltun for a guided tour including visit to the Dzibilchaltun Mayan History museum (closed on Mondays).
Time for swimming (if desired) at the Xlakah cenote.
