The Temple and Ex-convent dedicated to the Virgin of the Ascencion rises out of a hill, possibly the base of an ancient Mayan pyramid. Other attractions of Tecoh are the Municipal Palace and the Chen-ha cenote with its especially beautiful caves.

Chen-Ha cenote: This very beautifull cenote is located in the old road Merida-Campeche, close to Chochola village. The place is highly suggested for a very refreshing swimm. It is an underground cavern iluminated with electric bulbs. There are some stairs to descend to the water level. The inside is an irregular gallery of about 30 meters wide and 8 meters height with estalactites and estalagnites formations.
